Introduction
The goal of this page is to provide a
little food for thought and helpful tips about products as they
relate to various situations. I could come up with three things I
might want to do with a specific project, then someone else could
come up with three different things for the same exact project,
because as individuals we all have our own thoughts and ideas,
especially when it comes to personal decisions. That is probably the
most important factor of why many of my completed projects take on
unique and one of a kind characteristics.
When you get right down to it, there is no one rule that can
be applied to how a particular product is to be used, however there
are certain elements to take into consideration that will directly
influence or limit how it can be used. One important element is the
materials. The materials used to build and assemble a project are
probably the single most important factor that is directly related
to the application, or intended end use of a project. Many times
people overlook this detail when planning or designing their own
project. Hey, no worries though, because when you
Contact me,
we can discuss those things. One prime example of this would be,
indoor versus outdoor applications. I won't get into the specifics
here on that because there is more information on this subject
located on the Materials page. A second thing to consider is choosing a good
location to display your project. This is something that is very
important for certain product types, mainly those that are effected
by different light conditions. Too much or too little light can
effect the appearance of a project when it is on display. For
instance, a stained glass panel or suncatcher appears awsome when
displayed in a window that receives a generous amount of light, say
like a south facing window, if you live in a northern climate. Kind
of the opposite holds true when it comes to lithophanes or LED edge
light projects. These two items have their own light source. They
look awsome when on display in an area that is shaded from ambient
light. 3D relief carvings, halftones and photo v-carvings can be
effected by lighting conditions as well, but not as dramatically as
the previous products. I have found that these display very well in
moderate or normal light conditions, especially when they do not
have a beam of light cast directly upon them.
Before I just dive in and begin rattling off a bunch of
stuff, let me say this, in general, most people are intelligent, so
I realize you don't need me to tell you what to do with your project
and that is why this information is intended merely as a guide. When
it comes to application, it would be pointless for me to start
writing a huge list of things which would ultimately be very long,
sort of unorganized and never be complete, because there are so many
situations and events that my products can be used for. This is
possible due to the nature of the products and the ability to custom
taylor or personalize each project, and that folks, is what makes
the possibilties endless. One thing to keep in mind is, the
application for some product types could be different depending upon
whether you are a business, an individual or some other type
organization. With all that being said I am actually going to make a
list of a few popular applications followed up with examples of
various related scenarios. Ok, here we go!
Ideas On How To Use Products
- Gifts for all Occasions: This one is pretty
obvious. There are literally hundreds of situations when social
convention dictates that people present a gift to someone. I am
not going to mention them, we all know what they are. Trying to
figure out a good gift to get certain people can be very
challenging at times. I think all of us have stared down that
barrel before. This is where I can help, because I offer
products that you can't get just anywhere. If you show up to an
event with a gift that is one of my products, it's pretty much a
guarantee that it will stand out and impress everyone there,
making you feel like you just hit one out of the park! Who
knows, just maybe it will propel your status, putting you at the
top of everyones "A List".
- Business Advertisement, Branding and Promotional
Products: There are several ways that the products I
offer can help your business get noticed. Do you need to replace
or update any signage? Do you have an idea for something new and
original or maybe just a fresh take on what you currently have?
Consider going with something that has a 3D relief appearance.
There are several options for indoor and outdoor signage. How
about a name plate or wall plaque for an office? An LED edge
light sign of your logo could be on display in your reception
area. Maybe you need a trophy for a special event or an
achievment award to acknowlege employee performance. What if you
are planning a promotional event where you offer a little
something to the first so many guests that visit, I can help
with projects of this nature as well.
- Weddings: Whether you are the bride, groom
or a wedding planner/consultant and are looking for something
unique or different from the main stream, then you really need
to take a serious look at what I have to offer. Together we can
create items that can be used for decoration or as a piece of
memoralbilia for that special day of matrimony. After
the big event has come and gone, it is typically customary for
the bride and groom to gift their respected maid of honor and
best man for services rendered. Are you having trouble coming up
with ideas for that special gift? Well, I think your odds of
success just became better than average. I am confident that you
will find it here. I truely believe my products have the
potential to elevate the overall experience for everyone at your
celebration.
- Home and Cabin Decor: This is an area where
one can really have a lot fun designing and creating different
projects. You can get crazy and go wild because there are so
many angles in which to approach it. There are so many options
available to choose from it almost makes it hard to decide what
to do first. A street address sign for the exterior of your
house, a sign at the front door that reads, "The Smith Family
Welcomes You", holiday decorations, a center piece for a table,
stained glass to hang in the kitchen window, a wine bottle rack
for the bar. A wall plaque in a she den or man cave. How about a
photo carving of that lunker fish that was caught at the cabin
or a lithophane of that trophy whitetail deer.
Decisions...Decisions...I know, believe me I have the same
problem when it comes to stuff I want to make for my own house.
- Parties: If you enjoy hosting parties,
family get togethers or other social type events, then there is
a good chance you could use my products for decoration or
signage. Let's say you are throwing a summer time backyard party
and the theme is set for a tropical island retreat. Picture
this, your patio area has been transformed into a beverage
refreshment stand surrounded by torch light. Off to the side is
a small open pit wood barbeque where there is a succulent young
swine tenderizing away on a spit. There is soothing tropical
type music in the background. Beautiful women mingle around
dressed in floral patterned bikini tops and skirts made of palm
leaves as they sip on umbrella drinks from freshly cracked
coconut shells! Attractive stout men in their bold colorful surf
shorts are doing the same! Yah, you get the idea, I hope. Sure
sounds like a place I want to be at. This night couldn't get any
better, right? But wait, something is missing. There might be a
few things that would really pull it all together. How about
some carved wooden native masks, they could be mounted on bamboo
posts or on the torch lamp poles. Well then, you would also need
a sign at the entrance area of your beverage stand. The sign
could have 3D relief carvings of a palm tree and a pina coloda
glass, along with some text that looks like bamboo sticks that
reads "Welcome to the Tiki Bar". Wow! Now that was some party!
Am I right? Hope to see ya at the next one!
