Hi, my name is Steve. Wood, Glass & More
is a pop operation and is also the name of my show booth. Frosty
Acorn Acres™ is my work shop. It is a one-man shop, I work alone. I
tend to stay fairly busy. Generally, I have around a half dozen
irons in the fire at any given time. Yes, it can be chaotic at
times, but somewhere deep inside, I may have a secret craving for
it, I cannot be sure though. Quite frankly, I would become bored
very quickly without all the projects. I like to experiment making
different things. I like being creative and learning about a wide
variety of stuff.
There is such a vast amount of knowledge to be had in this
world, that at times, I find it to be almost overwhelming. It's
like, where should I begin? When should I stop? How much knowledge
do I need for it to be enough? What should I study first? Is there
stuff that I should not study at all? There is just so much out
there to choose from. How do I know what stuff will be a waste of
time? I may never have the answers to some of these questions.
It took me many decades to realize that there is simply not
enough time in my life span to take it all in. There is not enough
time to make all the stuff I want make and not enough time to do all
the things I wish to do. It's just not possible. I could probably
use up five life cycles for all the learning and doing that I wish
to accomplish. If only I could actually live that long. If I did, it
is still quite possible I may not be satisfied or feel fully
content. Not so long ago I was able to make some peace with all this
nonsense. Even though I have spent a lot of years learning whatever
I can, I'm not sure that I really know squat about anything. One
thing I am sure of, I plan on spending the rest of my years
learning, making and doing whatever I am physically capable of,
right up to the end.
Alright, that's probably enough for now, I don't want you to
get the wrong impression of me. By now I am sure a few of you think
I am a total whack job or something. Well, you could be right, I
just can't see it because I am too close. I can't see the forest
either because there's a bunch of trees blocking the view. Someone
should move them out of the way, I really want to see it someday.
